DESCRIPTION:In this generative and collaborative workshop\, participants will consider narrative\, both visual and textual\, while curating materials for a collage from provided artifacts including magazines\, newspapers\, books\, cards\, photographs\, and other ephemera. Participants are also encouraged to bring personal materials to incorporate into their artwork. \nCommunity artists and attendees will create original collages that may be included in a digitized community collection telling the story of our local community within the Colorado Foothills. Participants may choose whether to contribute their work to the larger collection\, helping represent the varied yet interconnected nature of our region. DESCRIPTION:Mondays\, September 14-28. Pricing includes registration for all sessions. \nThis Level 1 watercolor class at Hudson Gardens is a gentle introduction to painting for all ages. Families will learn basic watercolor techniques\, explore color and brushwork\, and create simple\, nature-inspired paintings together in a relaxed\, supportive setting. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a love of creating side by side. \nClass fee admits one person to the class. On the first day of class\, first-time students will be provided one piece of watercolor paper\, shared paints\, shared palettes\, shared brushes\, and water containers. All provided materials except your paper remain onsite and cannot be brought home. Returning students should bring their own supplies. \nParticipants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals over the age of 16 may sign up alone or with family members.
