The 8 Brocades (Ba Duan Jin) is one of China’s oldest and most widely practiced forms of Qigong. Developed over 1,000 years ago during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 CE), this traditional practice consists of eight gentle, flowing movements designed to cultivate energy (Qi), improve physical vitality, and promote deep relaxation.

In this 3-class series, students will learn the history and the complete 8 Brocades sequence through mindful movement, coordinated breathing, and focused awareness. The practice helps improve balance, flexibility, posture, circulation, and overall well-being while reducing stress and tension. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, the 8 Brocades offers a simple yet powerful pathway to greater health, vitality, and inner calm.
Singing bowls are played throughout our movement class with a short sound bath at the end.
No prior experience is necessary. Movements can be adapted to individual abilities, making this an accessible and rejuvenating practice for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

This program is ideal for individuals seeking to reduce stress, increase vitality, and connect with their inner peace in a deeply restorative and nurturing way. No prior experience in Qigong or sound therapy is required, as the session is accessible to all levels.

Participants will leave feeling more centered, balanced, and refreshed, carrying the calm energy of the practice into their daily lives.
