“If I were a bird, I would live in this one.” That’s one of the most common reactions people have when they see Bud’s work.
Bud began making birdhouses about 16 years ago, and today creates more than 500 each year. Every piece is handcrafted from used and recycled materials, making each birdhouse completely one of a kind. His work blends art and whimsy, with thoughtful details that invite closer inspection. Working with reclaimed materials and imaginative designs has become a deeply rewarding practice, and Bud especially enjoys seeing visitors discover the small details—and hearing from customers who later share photos of birds happily living in their houses.
