Plant-Powered Bug Spray

June 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$55 – $60

Curating Calm herbs

Join Kirsten Dehmlow this June to learn how to make your own natural herbal bug spray for summer days.

In this simple, practical class we will:

  • Learn which herbs and essential oils help deter insects
  • Talk about safe and effective blending
  • Make a spray you can use for gardening, hiking, camping, and backyard evenings

Each participant will create and take home their own bottle of herbal bug spray, along with the recipe so you can make it again at home.

This class is perfect for anyone looking for a more natural option for summer bug protection and who enjoys learning about herbs in a relaxed, supportive space.

About the Instructor:

Hello…I am Kirsten Dehmlow. I am a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Flowers and herbs have been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. Everywhere I have lived I have found a plot of dirt to plant. During my first pregnancy I began building my library of books on using herbs. In the summer of 2020 I began my official training to become a community herbalist. I am dedicated to continue growing and learning how herbs heal and provide support physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I have been a childbirth educator for over 15 years and have also worked as a labor doula for many years. I was the Parent Education Coordinator at a hospital in Denver for over 13 years. I love educating and supporting families and am excited to add my knowledge of herbs as a focus of support.

Helping women as they enter and progress through life transitions has been a continual focus in my work. Now I love adding herbs and Maya abdominal therapy as additional nourishing support. I offer one on one consultations, classes and herbal products: teas, tinctures, salves and essential oils.
