A Summer of Discovery: Gnome Scavenger Hunt!
This summer, we are thrilled to partner with our neighbors at the Carson Nature Center at South Platte Park to bring you a free, family-friendly adventure!
2026 is a big year for us—we’re celebrating 250 years of American independence and Colorado’s 150th year of statehood. What better way to honor our history and the beauty of Colorado outdoors than with a scavenger hunt?
Double the Fun at Two Iconic Locations The hunt spans two beautiful South Suburban properties. Both sites feature historic buildings, unique art, and miles of natural trails. We encourage you to make a day of it! Pack a picnic to enjoy at either location or grab a treat at Nixon’s Coffee House right here at Hudson Gardens.
Choose Your Own Adventure Hudson Gardens and the Carson Nature Center are both nestled along the South Platte River. Looking for some exercise? The walk between the two takes about 45 minutes and offers lovely riverside scenery. If you’re short on time, it’s just a quick 6-minute drive via Santa Fe Drive.
Whether you walk or drive, the goal is the same: get outside, have a blast, and maybe learn a little something new along the way!
How it Works: Follow clues inspired by nature, the water, and the rich history that shaped our region. Explore the grounds at your own pace—and don’t forget to pick up your prize!
