Humans of Hudson Gardens: Judy Thurman
Judy Thurman is a classical Chinese medicine practitioner who has studied both in the United States and in China. With more than 25 years of experience, she has private practice in the Denver metro area. In addition to her private practice, Judy partners with local organizations and hospitals to bring holistic healing practices to the community.
Judy first began offering programs at Hudson Gardens four years ago. She discovered the Gardens while hiking with her daughter and immediately thought it would be the perfect setting for a sound bath. She stopped by the gift shop to share her idea, and she’s been leading programs at the Gardens ever since.
Today, Judy offers a variety of experiences at Hudson Gardens, including Qigong movement sessions, sound baths, and Gongfu tea ceremonies. She has also recently introduced cacao ceremonies to the Gardens’ programming lineup. Each practice offers a unique opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and explore different approaches to well-being.
“Seeing someone after one of events just feel better, that makes my day,” Judy says, “That warms my heart more than anything. I love seeing people feel better.”
